Bruce Segal, MD

Dr. Bruce Segal attended Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he majored in Biochemistry and minored in Psychology – graduating Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa and with Honors in Biochemistry. He earned his medical degree with honors at Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Dr. Segal completed his ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Harkness Eye Institute at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City. At Columbia, Dr. Segal researched phacoemulsification with foldable intraocular lenses which became the standard technique used in modern cataract surgery. Dr. Segal continued his training with a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh’s Department of Ophthalmology, where he specialized in cornea and external eye disease.

In 1990, Dr. Segal became board certified in ophthalmology and began serving the South Florida community. His passion for providing quality eye care has extended over 20 years. Dr. Segal is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Palm Beach County Ophthalmology Society.
